Diana Battye, 21-year-old London society girl, who left her London home to post a letter and then dis- appeared for a week. Preceding her disappearance she is stated to have received anonymous letters. She was found sobbing hysterically on the steps of the Hon. Herbert Asquith's residence. Miss Battye is the daughter of Captain Percy Battye, formerly of the Welsh Guards.
