TRAMWAY COMPANY MEETING REPORT

"The steady falling off in regular although the closing of the old Peak monthly tickets-attributed to the Hotel took away a certain amount of casual traffic in addition to a few ticket increasing use by Peak residents of holders. The first completed month of motor-cars-was referred to by Mr. D. E. Clark at the annual meeting of shareholders, held this morning, of the Peak Tramway Company.

Mr. Clark stated, however, that receipts from casual sources were improving and while that state of affairs existed, the Company could still work at a profit.

Provided this state of affairs' continues and there is no ap- preciable rise in running costs; the Company should still be able to show a profit somewhere round about the present figure, but it will have to de pend largely on receipts from sources other than monthly. tickets.
