King Becomes Admiral
London, May 7. It was announced yesterday that the King had become Admiral of the Royal Yacht Squadron. His Ma- jesty's decision was made known at the annual meeting at Claridge's, when the Commodore, Sir Richard Williams-Bulkeley, presided over a record gathering of members.
It was decided that the following loyal address should be sent to the King:
"May it please Your Majesty, we the Flag Officers and Members of the Royal Yacht Squadron, at our Annual General Meeting assembled, humbly beg that Your Majesty will accept our most sincere thanks for the honour Your Majesty has con- ferred on the Royal Yacht Squadron by becoming its Admiral, and have acclaimed Your Majesty's decision with heartfelt gratitude and en- thusiasm.”
