Central Iron Works

May Be Started

According to a Nanking report, Mr. Shen Chang, a former manag- ing-director of the Peiping-Suiyuan Railway, has been commissioned to organise a central iron works to supply as many as possible of the demands from Chinese railways for spare parts and other articles and, in due time, to eventually build all railway cars and coaches in China. A capital of $10,000,000 will be called for. The public will be able to take out shares in the projects.
