Sino-Japanese economic co-opera in North China should be pushed along three lines in the opinion of high offi cials of the Hopei-Chahar Council, Gen. Chin Teh-chun, Mayor of Peiping and a member of the standing committee of the Council, told Japanese reporters in an interview in Peiping.

The Council's program, Gen. said, provides for Japanese assistance in the improvement of cotton cultiva- tion, the betterment of North China wool and the development of the Lung- yuen iron mines..
Discussions along these lines will soon be initiated between Mr. Li Shih- hao, chairman of the economic affairs committee of the Council, and Japanese representatives, the mayor said.
The draft program has been ap- poved by Gen. Sung Cheh-yuan, chair- man of the Council, who is now in his native town in Shantung, Gen. Chin added.
