HITLER'S “DIVINE

RIGHT”

Old Theory Revived

The theory of the "divine right of kings" has been revived by the “German Christians" to give Herr Hitler's rule the stamp of divine authority.

The chief aim of this section, which enjoys official favour, is to "Nazify". the German Evan- gelical Church and free it of "Jewish influence? Recent state- ments by prominent sympathisers that the eventual have suggested apotheosis of Herr Hitler in some form is an integral part of the pro- gramme of the most extreme wing.

A conference of leading "Ger- man Christians," which took place recently at Oberhausen, in Ruhr territory, has formulated a doctrine which is of great importance at the present stage in the German Evan- gelical Church struggle.
