Message Of The Coronation

London, To-day.

The King, seated alone before two micro- phones in a small room in Buckingham Palace, broadcast his first message to the Empire last night, while the Queen and other members of the Royal Family listened to the broadcast from an- other room in a distant part of the Palace.

After the Premier, Mr. Stanley Baldwin, had announced “His Majesty the King," the National Anthem was played, and then, after a brief pause, the King spoke in clear, deliberate tones.
