NO LADIES' RACE AT MACAU MEETING

RECREIO FAVOURED IN TO-DAY'S BOWLS

Meet Champions

!

AN INTERESTING JUNIOR CARD

Though the lawn bowls season has only just commenced, followers of the game should witness a very interesting encounter when creio, last year's runners-up, meet Craigengower, the champions.

Re-

In their encounter last year, Re- creio won by six shots and in view of their improved team, which now includes R. F. Luz, the former Crai- gengower skip, and C. F. Remedios, should have no difficulty in secur ing both points.

In the Second Division, Craigen- gower, who will be composed of a number of players who figured in the "B" team last year in the First Division, entertain Taikoo when another good game should be seen.

The Kowloon Football Club, who are making their debut in the Third Division should, in view of their performance last week, register their first win against Craigen- gower while Kowloon Tong will

SATISFACTORY ENTRIES (By "RAPIER”)

NATISFACTORY entries having been assured, the May Extra Race Meeting of the Macau Race Club, to be held in Macau to-morrow, should attract a large following of racing fans from Hong Kong, and, as hitherto, the Officials responsible have done everything possible to ensure the comfort of visitors. Apart from the prospects of witnessing some keen racing, the present warm weather should serve as an inducement in making the excursion trip to Macau.

THERE ARE ALTOGETHER SIX EVENTS ON THE PRO- GRAMME, BUT IT IS A PITY THAT OUR LADY JOCKEYS ARE NOT CATERED FOR ON THIS OCCASION. I TRUST THAT A RACE WILL BE RESERVED FOR THEM AT THE NEXT MEET- ING, AS I FEEL SURE THAT THEY SHOULD RECEIVE AS MUCH ENCOURAGEMENT AS POSSIBLE IN DEVELOPING THEIR RIDING SKILL.
