Important Talks Predicted
London, To-day,
The French Minister of Defence, M. Edouard Daladier, is scheduled to arrive in London to-day.
Although his visit is officially stated to be merely acceptance of an invitation to address the Anglo- French Society's dinner in Man- chester, rumours are spreading that there is some deeper significance behind the trip.
The "Evening Standard" learns that M. Daladier's presence will be made the occasion for conducting important conversations.
He will dine in London this even- ing, the paper says, with Lord Hali- fax (Lord Privy Seal), Mr. A. Duff Cooper (Secretary for War) and Field Marshal Sir Cyril Deverell,
