Murzanoff, 29, were this morning charged before Mr. K. Keen at the

Central Magistracy with stowing away on the President Coolidge from Hong Kong to Manila on April 12, and with entering the Colony on that date without valid passports.

Well dressed and apparently men of means, the three were discovered on the President Coolidge while en route from Hong Kong to Manila, simply because they paid for their drinks in the lounge instead of signing for them.

Anxious to visit Manila, they boarded the Coolidge at Hong Kong just before sailing time, and easi- ly passed as passengers. They roamed about the first-class public rooms and book drinks on the bar.
