LEYTON TO CALL TOWN'S MEETING
Lost Ground Protest
a
London, March 17. Leyton, the Athenian League club and F. A. Amateur Cup semi- finalists, have decided to call town's meeting at the Leyton Town Hall to protest against the action of the local council in letting their ground to Clapton Orient F. C.
No date has yet been arranged for the meeting, which will be ad- dressed by Mr. W. G. Curtis, pre- sident of Leyton. "We feel very strongly on the subject," said Mr. G. T. S. Lessons, an official of Leyton, yesterday. "We
have
been inundated with letters from hundreds of Leyton people who are of the opinion that we should make a strong protest against the council's action."
