Mr. Potts Fined: Driving On Battery Path

Mr. J. H. Potts, of Messrs. Ben- jamin and Potts, was this morning find $25 at the Central Magistracy when he pleaded guilty to driving car No. 4117 on Battery Path with- out a permit from the Traffic De partment, at 1.45 am, on March 23. Traffic-Inspector Saunders asked that a serious view be taken. It was well-known that the path was closed to vehicles and there was a large signboard at the bottom to that effect. Defendant knocked down a lamp post half way along. the path.

W. Stoker, of No. 22, Stubbs Road, was fined $5 this morning by Mr. K. Keen when he pleaded guilty to disobeying the traffic signal at the Star Ferry Wharf on March 19.

In a fall into the hold of a Green Island Cement Co. lighter, Chan Fook-yee, a workman, fractured his left leg and was admitted to the Kowloon Hospital.
