Suicide Pact

A young Chinese girl with a bullet wound through her right temple, a Chinese constable also with a bullet wound just above his right ear, both dead sitting on a bench, and fragments of partly destroyed letters scatter- ed in the vicinity, was the sight which confronted a Botanical Garden watchman at 6.15 o'dock this morning when he was doing his rounds...

The girl was a 15-year-old waitress, Fung So, employed in the Foo Yue Teashop. of No. 5, Queen Victoria Street, and the constable, Yuen Yacheung, (No. 645), of the Hong Kong Police Force.
