BEN FOORD TO MEET TOMMY FARR

BRITISH AND EMPIRE

TITLES AT STAKE WORLD TITLE BOUT'S NEW DATE

London, February 12. BEN FOORD, the South African, who holds the British and British Empire heavyweight titles, is to defend these championships against Tommy Farr, of Wales, at the Harringay Arena on March 15. The fight takes the place of the Neusel-Baer contest which the British Boxing Board of Control refused to sanction.

FARR WAS SIGNED BY MR. HULLS ON WEDNESDAY, A FEW HOURS AFTER THE BOARD HAD GIVEN THEIR DECI- FOORD, I SION WITH REGARD TO BAER AND NEUSEL. UNDERSTAND, SIGNED A CONTRACT SOME TIME AGO.

The board has set the official seal on this championship fight. Farr was the board's nominated contender some months ago. Thus Wales, having lost these titles when Petersen was beaten by Foord last summer, now has the chance of recapturing them.
