Oliveira, of Recreio “A”, by 2 games to 1 in the Quarter-Final Round of the Open Singles Badminton Championship, at King's College. P. H. Wong beat K. S. Liew by two clear games, while P. K. Hui beat C. E. Chng by a similar margin. T. C. Lee also entered the Semi-Final by defeating A. L. Fisher by two clear games.
