McCulloch (Brentford) with 36 goals, while Bowers, of Astley (Derby) Leicester, and Payne, of Luton, are Lewis (Grimsby) second with 29 goals each. W. R. Steele (Stoke) "Dixie" Dean, the former England centre-forward, and present leader of Everton, heads the First Divi sion with 21 goals.

The following is the list of goal scorers in all four divisions until February 7, with a qualification of 16 goals:
