A detective-sergeant stated- Bow-street that when an Hungarian passport was: photographed un- der ultra-violet rays, various eras- ures were revealed.

Nathan Chazutin, 33, a furrier, of Florence-court, Maida Vale, was remanded on his own bail in $10, charged with being in possession of an altered or irregular passport. Det.-Insp. Whitehead, of Scotland Yard, who arrested Chazutin, said that when told that there was rea- son to believe the passport had been altered, he replied: "I know noth- ing about that.”
