To begin with, brush all the part out of your hair. You may be able to wear it either straight back, without a part, or in the pompadour style that the picture "San Fran- cisco" has made so popular.

Look at your profile, your full face. Consider the back of your neck. And if you don't.” think the pompadour is becom- ing, try your hair on the side.

yourself the following ques- tions:

Does it make my neck look too long? Or too short?

Is it becoming to my face, in length, breadth, forehead?

Should my ears be covered or are they sufficiently well- shaped to be to my advantage?

Do I need to build my hair up to add height to my figure or should I do the opposite?

What is my type? Is it mo- dern, the old-fashioned tin- type, or am I a character from medieval days?

When you have solved all these major problems, add the little touches of feminine beau- ty such as curls around je face, and waves just where they belong, to add the per- sonal touches to your own personality.

The neck line is a very im- portant thing that is too often neglected. Some women have an extremely feminine and appealing line in the way their hair naturally grows at the nape of the neck. If they can possibly comb it in such a manner that this will show, it will be to their best advan- tage.

Curls at the top of the head, and straight hair that merges into perfect ringlets at the side, are new modes that have come in with the general mosphere of the approaching coronation. They are extreme- ly becoming to a great num- ber of women.
