LTHOUGH nothing definite has been decided,

there is a strong possibility that a Combined schoolgirls' hockey eleven will meet the Shanghai Ladies' Interport team on either Tuesday or Wed- nesday of next week, provided the visitors raise no objection and the weather keeps fine.

With this in view, a trial match between teams from the Central British School and the Diocesan Girls' School was held on the former's ground yesterday evening, and some interesting play was witnessed. Contrary to expectations, six of the Diocesan Girls found their way into the selected team.

In spite of the fact that Miss M. McCaw and Miss M. Booker have been selected to play for the Rest of the Colony Eleven against the Shanghai Ladies, the Selection Committee were unanimous in their decision that the Schoolgirls, if they met the Shanghai Ladies, should field their best possible team.

Miss M. Booker and Miss J. Booker, above, who play for the Central British Schoolgirls “A” Brawn Cup team, have both secured places in the Combined Schoolgirls' eleven which will probably meet the Shanghai Ladies' Interport team either next Tues- day or Wednesday.
