RUMOURS "
ABOUT MR. EDEN COLONY'S
Holiday For Health Reasons
NO OTHER
CONSIDERATION
London, To-day.
Rumours that the sudden departure for the French Riviera of the Foreign Secretary, Mr. An- thony Eden, were caused by other than health rea-
sons, are strongly denied by "The Times."
The paper points out that Mr. Eden has had only one month's va- cation in 21 months of office, and that of this one month he spent a fortnight in England continuing to direct the affairs of the Foreign Office.
His trip to the Riveira had al- ready been decided upon when Mr. Eden was in Geneva but the jour- ney had to be postponed owing to "malicious rumours."
The Daily Telegraph" learns that the Polish Foreign Minister,
Colonel Joseph Beck, visited Mr. Eden immediately after the latter's
arrival in Monte Carlo.
The two statemen, the paper
adds, conversed together for half an hour. Trans-Ocean.

The rumours of differences in opinion between Stalin and Marshal Voroshilov, Commissar for War, are denied by the Moscow correspondent of the "News Chronicle" and the Riga correspondent of the "Morning Post."
The latter declares that: Stalin and Marshal Voroshilov have. agreed that the Red Army be fre from G. P. U supervision except in the case of officers serving abroad as military attaches or engaged in espionage at home or abroad./
These officers, asserts the corres pondent, are all subject to super- vision by the G. P. U. and may be arrested at any moment,
