It is officially announced by the Colonial Office that Sir Andrew Calde- cott, Kt., CMG., C.B.E, has been ap- pointed Governor of Ceylon, to succeed Sir Reginald Stubbs, himself a former Governor of Hong Kong.

Coming to Hong Kong as a result of the changes decided upon will be Sir Geoffry Alexander Stafford Northcote, E.C.MG, who has been Governor of British Guiana since 1935.
