The Army have proved a very disappointing team this year, having twice been well and truly defeated by the Navy and by a much weakened team at that -- so that to-day's game looks very much like a foregone conclusion in favour of the Club, who have twò convine- ing victories over the Navy to their credit.

THE DRAW FOR THE LADIES SEVEN-A-SIDE HOCKEY TOURNAMENT WAS ANNOUNCED TWO DAYS BEFORE IT

WAS SUPPOSED TO HAVE BEEN MADE!

At a meeting held some time ago I understand the draw was made, but this was subsequently cancelled owing to some unforeseen circumstances.

It was then decided (at the same meeting) that the draw should

be made on the same day of the tournament, presumably on the ground,

a half hour before the commencemnet of the tournament. This suggestion met with the unanimous approval of all the Club representa- tives. Imagine their surprise when they learned that the draw had already been made without their knowledge.

There is no actual grouse among the Clubs at the order of the draw, but it is the principle which has been grossly been abused.

A meeting of the committee of the Association should have been called to make the draw. This was not the procedure in the case.

I think that the time has come for the Hong Kong Ladies Hockey Association to be reorganised on practical lines, with each thilated club having their full rights respected.
