CARRYING out the company's promise to give

to racing patrons in the Philippines a truly modern, efficient race track, the Philippine Rac ing Club, Inc., has purchased the latest type of automatic, electrically operated totalisator and will install the equipment at Santa Ana Park in time for the opening race meeting early next year.

This was one of the big accomplishments of Y. S. Day. racing manager for the club, on his recent trip to Australia, from which he returned on Sunday. Day was accompanied on the trip by W. P. Lind of the Manila Electric Co. who is acting as a consulting electrical engineer for the racing organisation.

Cost of the electric totalisator, complete with ticket issuing machines, will be nearly P195,000, installed it was announced. This huge investment, however, will be more than compensated for by added public confidence and in efficiency of handling the parimutuel system, track officials believe.
