The League Secretariat officially announces that the Presi dent of the League of Nations Council has granted the Valencia Government's request for the convocation of an extraordinary meeting of the League Council, after consultation with the most important member States of the League, and has convened the Council for 5 pm. on December 7. The Chilean Ambassador in London, Senor Edwards, will probably preside over the meeting. The only subject to be discussed by the Council at the extraordin- ary meeting will be the appeal of the Valencia Government.
