MALAYAN VISIT PLANNED
TEAM MAY BE SELECTED FOR
1940 WORLD OLYMPIAD .
Singapore, October 26. THE "Straits Times" understands that the Nip- pon Hockey Association intend sending a team to tour Malaya in December this year. Arrangements are now being made by hockey associations for a series of matches to be played in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and possibly Ipoh.
It will be recalled that when the Japanese Olympic Hockey contingent were unable to play against Singapore owing to tor- rential rain, the secretary of the Nippon Hockey Association ex- pressed a desire for a Japanese touring team to meet local elevens either at the end of this year or early next year.
A few days ago, the Singapore Hockey Association received! The a letter from Japan inquiring the possibilities of a tour, following has been suggested as the series of matches: On arrival in Singapore, the visitors meet The Europeans, the next match being against The Rest.

Foord and Neusel are on a guarantee, but they have also signed an agreement to accept a proportion of the receipts. "It will not be far from the mark to say that they will divide at least £7,000. This will not be so bad even for Neusel, whose re- putation is international. He still tells the story of engaging in a most strenuous battle at New York's Madison Square Garden, and emerging from it with a cheque for a little more than 16s.
He was, of course, on a percentage, but instead of cashing the cheque he had it photographed, so that it could be published in the newspapers. There was more laughter than surprise.
