CORRESPONDENCE Picnic For The Blind
[To The Editor, “China Mall"] Dear Sir,May I through your columns express our sincere and grateful thanks to all those who so kindly contributed to the sac- cess of the Picnic last Saturday by donations, loans of cars, and gifts?
The response to our appeal this year was truly generous. Since our last acknowledgment we have received $5 from the Hon. Mr. E. Taylor and $2 from "FAI...“, making the total donations $507. while 23 cars were put at OLT <disposal.
In addition to the outing and tea and a special anniversary din- ner that night, gifts of handker-{ chiess, towels, soap and sweets] were made to each of the 54 giris and a surplus of $434.10 is being handed over to Miss Moritz of the Blind Home for the purchase of suits and shoes as New Year pre- sents for the girls.
