Shanghai, July 7. Bright cricket was seen on the Cricket Club pitch yesterday when i a home team captained by Erig.-) Gen. E. B.. Macnaghten defeated the Parsee Cricket Club side by two wickets. The Parsee Cricket Club had first knock and scored 19 229 runs for the loss of seven wic- kets when they declared. In reply the Cricket Club team emulated their opponents and scored 231 15 runs in two hours and twenty minutes for the loss of 8 wickets.
The feat of the day was a cen-' tury scored by 3 J. Divecha who; 20 carried his bat for 113 runs. He 21 had a long stay at the wicket, being associated with the Shroff *brothers in profitable partner- ships. Divèche went in fourth batsman, and together with F. R Kermani added 21 runa.
