MISHAP IN TUNNEL

Train Strikes Repair Scaffolding

The 510 train from Ramsgate to London struck a piece of scaffolding as it was passing through Rochester Tunnel" one night last month. The scaffolding was being used for repair work on the roof of the sunnci.

A piece of wood scraped the ear of the top of the Pullman train. Nobody was injured. The train was stopped at Sole Street Station for a few minutes, and then it proceeded to London.
