An interim report issued by the Statistical Ofice of the Imports the and Exports Department on trade of the Colony for April, 1936, states that imports of mer chandise amounted to a total of $8.2 millions (22.5 millions), as with $32.0 millions compared (3.4 millions) in April, 1935: a dollar increase of 19.4 per cent of 26.5 and a sterling decrease per cent; whils; exports totalled $27.6 millions (41.3 millions), as with $25.6 millions compared (42.7 millions): a dollar increase] of 7.8 per cent, and a sterling de -U.S.$6,000,000.00 jcrease of 33.3 per cent.
