DIAMOND JUBILEE SPORTS MEETING
ST. JOSEPH'S COLLEGE CELEBRATION
GOVERNOR DISTRIBUTES PRIZES
ST. Joseph's College held their 20th annual athletic sports meeting on the South China ground at Caroline Hill yesterday, and, in view of the fact that the College is now celebrating it's Diamond Jubilee, the programme this year was more elaborate than it had ever been in the history of the school.
Some very keen competition was seen, and at the conclusion of the sports His Excellency the Governor, Sir Andrew Caldecott, gave away the prizes. After having done so, he congratulated the College on attaining its Diamond Jubilee and also the com-; petitors for the fine display they put up during the afternoon.
Brother Stephen, Director of the College, also made a few remarks, in the course of which he thanked His Excellency for coming down to present the prizes and all those who had helped to make the meeting the success it had turned out to be.
S. Ding won the Senior Championship while A. Uzorio and Ng Chik-tong won the Junior and Midget championships, respectively.
