CHRISTIAN SCIENCE LESSON SERMON "Are Sin, Disease, And Death Real?"
.4
FIRST CHURCH OF CHRIST, SCIENTIST, HONG KONG
The subject of the lesson Ser- mon in all churches of Christ.
- Scientist, to-morrow will be "Are
Sin. Disease, and Death Real?"
The Golden Text will be: "All flesh shall see the salvation of God."
(Luke 3:6),
Among others, the following: citations from the Bible will be read: "After this I beheld, and, 1, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations. and kindreds, and people, and tangues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palma in their hands; And cried with a loud voice, saying. Salvation to God which sitteth. upon the And throne, and unto the Lamb.
our
one of the elders answered, saying unto me, What are these which are arrayed in white robes? and whence came they? And I said And to him. Sir, thou knowest. he said to me. These are they! which came out of great tribula- tion, and have washed their robes. | and made them white in the blood: of the Lamb.
SZOTE.
"They shall hunger no neither thirst any more; neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat For the Lamb which is in the midst of the throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto Eving fountains of waters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes" (Rev. 9-10; 13. 14, 16, 17).
All-Power
The Lesson Sermon will also in- clude the following passages from the Christian Science textbook.
"Science and Health, with Key to the Scriptures," by Mary Baker Eddy:
"Salvation. Life, Truth, and Love understood and demonstrated as supreme over all; sin, sickness, and death destroyed. There is no Omni- power apart from God.
potence has all-power, and to ac- knowledge any other power is to dishonour God. The humble Na- zarene overthrew the supposition that sin, sickness, and death have power.
"If sickness is real. it belongs to immortality: if true, it is a part- of Truth. But if sickness and sin are illusions. the awakening from this mortal dream, or illu-
health sion, will bring us into
immortality. This holiness and
awakening is the forever. coming! of Christ, the advanced appearing of Truth. which casts out error and heals the sick. This is the through salvation which comes
Cod. the divine Principle, Love, as demonstrated by Jesus." (Pages 593; 228 and 230).
