SOUTH CHINA "A's" SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE IN JEOPARDY
GRAND NATIONAL
TO-DAY
GOLDEN MILLER'S THIRD
BID AT AINTREE
NEW TRAINER AND JOCKEY SINCE LAST YEAR'S DEBACLE
OF all the great races which are run during
the course of the season none possesses the glamour or attractiveness of the Liverpool Grand National, which will be decided at Aintree this afternoon.
Its appeal is world-wide and its thoroughly sporting charac- ter renders its trophy the most coveted prize in the annals of! steeplechasing.
Indeed it is questionable whether the winning of a Liverpool! Grand National or an Epsom Derby comes first in the desires of those who are in the happy position of being able to become owners of the best class horses of their time.
The great flat racing classics provide their thrills and ex- citement, and, a closely fought out finish for the Derby is some- thing to remember, but from every point of view a Grand National struggle is incomparable.

THE fate of the 1935-6 First Division League football championship will be decided to- morrow afternoon on the Kowloon Football Club ground when South China "A," the present League champions, encounter the Police in their "needle" match, the result of which will be eager- ly looked forward to by thousands of followers of the game.
Following their fifth consecutive defeat in the First Divi- sion last Tuesday, when they lost to the Royal Navy at home by the odd goal in three, some drastic changes will be made in the South China "A" team, and at least two positions will prob- ably be filled by newcomers.
