Madrid, To-day.

The whole of the Civil Service administration of Spain is undergoing a complete transformation as the immediate outcome of the result of last Sunday's elections. The general amnesty de- creed on Friday applies to all sentences passed since the outbreak of the October revolution and the passing of the amnesty decree by the Perman- ent Parliamentary Committee.

Members of the former Catalonian Government who had been i condemned to penal servitude for life because of their part in the revolution, have been released and have arrived in Cordoba. Ca-

talonian Left-wingers here were congratulated and welcomed by the Civil Governor and by representatives of the Labour organisa- tions. The waiting crowds gave an enthusiastic demonstration | of welcome.
