DAVID LEONARD SCORES DECIDING GOAL

SPLENDID DEFENCE SEEN

(By "Rover") SOUTH China "A" sustained their second premier League soccer defeat of the season at Caroline Hill yesterday, losing to St. Joseph's by the only goal of the game, although a draw would have been a more fitting result.

Almost throughout the second half, St. Joseph's found them- selves penned in their own half; their defence became panicky, and a packed goal was their only means of keeping out the swift South China raiders.

Represented by a far stronger combination, which included Fung King-cheong, Tay Quee-liang and Lee Tin-sang, South; China were firm favourites for both points, but Leonard's goal scored early in the first half, upset the critics in no small way. Saturday's Results Atas strong as a rock, both Lee
