WONDERFUL VISTA OF

FUTURE TRENDS WORKING MODELS OF EARLY PLANES

WONDERFUL vista of aerial progress was afforded by the Exhibition entitled "The Em- pire's Airway which was organised by Imperial Airways, and was held in the Science Museum, South Kensington, London, from December 16, 1935, to January 31 last.

The. Exhibition, which was declared open by the Rt. Hon. Lord Swinton. Secretary of State for Air, illustrated every phase in the organisation and operation of Empire flying routes, and also provided fascinating glimpses into the future of long-distance transport by air.

In his speech at the opening ceremony which was attend- ed by a distinguished gathering Lard Swinton said that great plans had been laid for the future, and that the Empire air ser- vices were to be greatly extended in frequency and speed.
