-HONG KONG GOVERNMENT - 'RADIO TELEGRAPH SERVICE

From the First day of December 1935 charges for telegrams will be collected at the rate of Dollar 0.95 to equal Gold Frabe 1:00-

The Hong Kovernment Radio Tele- aph Service announces that from next Monday charges for telegrams will be collected at the rate of Dollar 105 to equal 'Gold Franc 100

ILT Telerrams conveying Christ- mas and New Year Greetings will be accepted by the Government Radio Office for transmission- via Radio dur- ing the period from 14th December 1935 to 6th January 1956, both datës inclusive.

(2) The change for telegrams to. places in China will be based on ONE FOURTH of the orgia- any rate and to other places on ONE THIRD of the ordinary rate:

(b) The minimum charge for all places will be for ten words Farther particulars may be obtain- ed on application to the Radio Ofice.

BROADCASTING RECEIVING LICENCES, 1936

All Existing Licences expire-a 31st December, 1935.

New Licences for 1935 will be available at the Goverment Radio Office P. & 0 Building, as from 1st January, 1936 and will be issued from 10a.m. to pm. against the receipt of a remittance of $10.

Applications may be made:-

(a) personally

(b) by messenger...

(c) by post

It is essential-under (c), and pre- ferable under (a) and (b) that ap-| plications should be accompanied by crossed cheque payable, to Hong Kong Goverment The new licence will then be sent by post or messenge er as soon as it is ready. Where actual cash is tendered a new licence abould be recieved in exchange before leaving the Lacensing Offer

In the case of renewal the old licence should be returned with the application.
