ground yesterday, the Submarines beat the Club by two goals and 3 tries (19 points) to a goal and two tries (11 points).

The Naval forwards proved to be very much better than the Club forwards, as, besides being much faster, they packed much better in the tight scrumas. The Club forwards were poor în contrast, and in consequence their threequarters very rarely received the ball. There was a tendency to tackle high on both sides.

Burrows, the Submarines left-centre-threequarter. played an outstanding game, and was extremely fast while in possession of the ball. He executed many dangerous runs or his own, his main asset being his very tricky swerve.

HE Hong Kong Hockey Club, despite the fact that they fielded only 10 players, secured a meritorious win yesterday in the Triangular Tournament when they defeated the Royal Navy by 4 goals to 1 and thus avenged an earlier defeat of November 20, when they lost by an only goal.

The Navy were without several of their star players---Lt. Lane, on the right-wing, and Lt. Holland-Martin, in the pivotal position, both of whom are on the injured list as a result of injuries sustained at Rugby.

The Club, who played without Nooy, their left-winger, for the whole of the game, the latter failing to make an appearance, had the better of the exchanges throughout.
