CAN CLUB BEAT LINCOLNS?
TWO excellent First Division League football
matches are promised the soccer public this afternoon, when South China. "B" make their debut this season against the Fusiliers at home, while the Lincolns entertain the Club at Sookun-
poo.
South China "B" are fielding a very strong side and have improved both their defence, by the inclusion of Leung In-chan- and their attack, by introducing Lee Shek-yau on the left wing. In addition they will have the services of all those players who helped them attain the reputation they at present hold.
The Club, with Ernie Strange back in the attack, encounter their old rivals the Lincolns, whom they defeated last year at Sookunpoo. On their present form, however, the Club stand a - very slight chance of securing the points as they have not yet
revealed match-winning form.

POWELL & GARROD REINSTATED
SHANGHAI HOOKER FOR CLUB "A" XV
FUSILIER CENTRE IN HOSPITAL
(By Referee").
HE heavy downpour last Saturday washed out both rugby games as the Navy ground was under water in several places. This was greatly deplored by the teams, as a wet ground is a rare joy in Hong Kong, the dry winter generally leaving the grounds in a very hard condition.
However, the Cinb and the Navy first fifteens will now meet for the first time this afternoon in what promises to be a grand game, while the Club "A" fifteen will encounter the Royal Welch Fusiliers
The Club team is practically the same as that chosen for last Saturday, except that Powell and Garrod have been brought into the side in place of Munro and Barlow, respectively. Munro has tom a shoulder muscle and is likely to be out of the side for several weeks.
The Club pack has been re-
shuffled, McElney taking on WHO WILL OPEN

Peers and Garrod forming the
second row. The back row is a trifle on the light side.
