The Paulines owe much to R. A. P. Hogbin, the former Guy's forward, who has built up a fine, heavy, hard-working pack, well coached and well together. They were too much for the light and half-fit Guy's forwards.

Later in the season, especially as L G. Robin and T. Morgan are returning to the pack to give it height, weight and experience. we shall doubtless see the Guy's forwards improved out of all recognition.
