London, September 6. IN the many activities which they have recently

undertaken the Football Association seem to have acquired a new and inspired outlook. It is as if they have suddenly realised their importance and responsibility as the rulers of the biggest game in the world and of the work they may do for the national good.

We saw this when they took the lead in bringing together 29 of the governing bodies of sport in order that a substantial contribution might be made to the King's Jubilee Trust Fund. It is hoped that this may amount to as much as £20,000.

Previously there had been the launching of the coaching scheme for schoolboys, which ought to have most beneficial results, and then in furtherance of this the summer school for the coaches and trainers-
