Unemployed "Tailor Sentenced

Tsoi Sai-ling, aged 27. an un- employed tailor, was this morn-. ing sentenced to six months": hard labour by Mr. W. Scho-! field at the Central Magistracy when charged with the unlaw- ful possession of a dagger.

Detective-sergeant Kinnear. said that defendant arrived by : the morning train on Wednes day from Canton. He went to the shop of his father-in-law, a blacksmith, in Chung On Lane There he produced the dagger | and said that he had been look- ing for him for some time.

Words were exchanged, and when a foki intervened the de-i ferdant threw the dagger on the counter and ran out of the shop.. He was chased into Queen's Road Central by the foki and was arrested by a Shantung constable.
