THE weather was in a good mood last Satur-

day, and enabled lawn bowlers to indulge in

their favourite pastime. The greens were show- ing the effects of the many storms during the week, and were, in consequence, not at their best. The results, though not just as forecast- ed, did not occasion any great surprise with one exception, and that was the defeat of the Recreio by the K.C.C. in the Junior Division.

In the Senior Division, the brilliant Portuguese team again took the lead. but Craigengower “A” are hard on their heels with two matches in hand, and, though they are two" points behind, it may be considered that they are in a much better position.

The game between the Civil Service and the Indian R.C.

turned out to be the exciting event anticipated. The Indians only just pulled through by two shots, and, taking into con- sideration the fact that the Indians have only registered vic tories by a similar score in no less than four matches: it may be conceded that they are rather fortunate.
