THE Shanghai Amateur Swimming Associa- tion have accepted the dates proposed by the Victoria Recreation Club for the annual In- terport swimming contest for the Taggart Shield, the details of which will probably come for discussion at a meeting to be called very up shortly.

As a result of Shanghai's acceptance, it is highly probable that the Colony Swimming Championships will take place next month at the Victoria Recreation Club.

As the Interport contest takes place on September 19, 20 and 21. the Shanghai team which will comprise 10 swimmers who will be accompanied by their President, Mr. J. Huxley, are

expected to leave the northern port on or about September 14. They will return north on September 24.
