Washington, Today. The first flurry of anxiety at the Supreme Court's death blow to the National Recovery Ad- ministration codes is gradually being replaced by a feeling that no great change in the national economy is imminent. President Roosevelt ear- ly resumed his conferences with his lieutenants, but no agreement regarding policy is yet in sight

Two suggestions are at present receiving considerations firstly, to rely on the voluntary observance of the codes as a stop- gap; and secondly, an amendment to the constitution to enable

LES TERRITORY NO BASE FOR ATTACK ON BRITAIN

De Valera's Assurance In Dail

Dublin, To-day. Replying to an onslaught by the Opposition in the Dail, Mr. de Valera, President of the Izish Free State, gave an assurance that Free State territory will not be permitted to be used as a base for an attack on Great Britain.

They were prepared to enter

War in Europe might possibly develop a most serions situazion for the Free State. The latter would do everything in her power to defend her own territory.-- Beuter.
