THE Nanking Government has an air force of 500 aeroplanes with 700 trained aviators and hopes to increase the air strength to 3,000 machines, according to Chinese Press reports. quoting Japanese sources.
No British planes are used in the Nanking air force, the machines being imported mostly from the United States and partly from Italy and France- Since January, 1934, the Nan- king military authorities have been importing about thirty planes 2 month from those three countries.
