There are 14 "arranged com- positions" by Kreisler attributed variously to Vivaldi, Porpora, Stamitz, Couperin, and other 18th century composera, about which Herr Kreisler now says:

"Every piece named ... is in] every detail my original compo {sition."

"It is quite easy to make a mistake about the origin of an arrangement of some eighteenth century compos er," he said.
