A step in the direction of even more friendly, relations between neighbouring countries was taken by Bridge players of Canada, and the United States at the second Canadian-American Contract Bridge, Tournament held at Niagara Falls, New York, last May, Prominent Bridge players from both Canada and the United States were present in large numbers. The tournament marked the return to Duplicate play, of a well-known champion of other days, Mr. Ralph R. Richards of Detroit. That his akill is undim- inished is shown by the play of the hand below, played in the Mixed Event, his partner being Mrs. H. J. White of Cleveland.:
