BRILLIANT display by G. E. R. Divett, the Club centre-forward, was mainly responsible for the Rest eleven's surprise win over the Colony Interport hockey eleven by 3 goals to 1 at King's Park yesterday. Divett, an Interport reserve, was played on the right-wing and must have sur- prised the Selectors by his display.
The ground was inclined to be heavy and the result was that play was considerably slower than usual, though flashes of good. form were seen here and there. The game was witnessed by Mr. E. W. Hamilton, President of the Hong Kong. Hockey Association, and Captain Errol Manners, RN. a Vice-President of the Asso ciation.

TRIAL FIASCO
FIVE PLAYERS FAIL TO MAKE APPEARANCE
HOWE AND STRANGE SHINE
{By “ROVER"},
VERY disappointing and unimpressive final Interport soccer trial was held yesterday on the Sookunpoo ground when the Possibles (Whites) defeated the Probables (Colours) by 4 goals to 3 on a ground resembling a quagmire.
The most disappointing feature of the trial was the non- Appearance of five players, which resulted in the inclusion of ser- vicemen at the last minute. When the teams were lined up it was seen that out of the total of 22 players nine of them were from the Army, and yet only three are allowed to be included in an inter- port sidel.N
