NAVAL WEDDING AT CATHEDRAL

A naval wedding of great local interest between Lieutenant John David Luce, of H.M.S. Medway, and Miss Mary Adelaide Norah Whitham was solemnised yesterday afternoon at St. John's Cathedral.

The bride is the younger daugh ter of the late Mr. R. P. Whitham and Mrs Whitham, while the bridegroom is the second son of the Iate Admiral John Luce, C.B., and Mrs. Luer, of Little Cheverel House, Devizes, Wiltshire, England,

The bride, who was given away! by her brother. Mr. J. 'P. Whitham, wore a "Chiffon" satin wedding gown and carried a sheaf of white gladioli. Little Miss Jennifer! Booth, dressed in white with gold! slippers and little gold luce cap, made a pretty flower girl.

Three Bridesmaids

The bridesmaids were her sister, Miss Mina Whithum and the Misses Potter. They wore "Eunice" green Tuder style velvet, gowns with gold lace caps and twlated golden girdles, and carried bouquets of orange and yellow African dalsies.
