A sensational outburst by the Lord Chief Justice Hewart elec- trified the normally calm atmos- phere of the House of Lords yes- terday evening when he attacked the Lord Chancellor on the Su- preme Court Judicature Amend- ment Bill, which provides an ad-| ditional two judges for the King's Bench Division and for the ap- pointment of the Vice-President of the Court of appeal from the ex- isting Lords of Justices without regard to seniority.
